Willcox Playa and Ryan Field: Two Arizona Chondrites from the James M. DuPont Collection Listed among the meteorites from the James M. DuPont Collection were two small unclassified stones from Arizona. They were listed as Willcox Playa and Ryan Field respectively. Both were found by Mr. Gordon Nelson, and were later purchased by James DuPont. Willcox Playa is a complete stone with a mass of 61.5 g. Its surface exhibits a typical brownish oxidation crust that is common from long period exposure in an arid environment.

This is one for fellow Toyah nerds! In 1994 Toyah released her 'Dreamchild' album, a dance collaboration with XL recordings, written largely by Mike Bennett.
A little while after I came across a white label pre-release cassette (1993 Cryptic Records), which on the face of it like most promos, was no different to the final release other than a slightly re-ordered track listing.
However one other difference on this, was that the title track 'Dreamchild' was in a different mix to that of the final release, replacing the bass heavy drum track with a continuous poppier beat. Those who know the track well will hear the difference. It also falls shorter than the final release at just under 6 mins. This version was never released in any other form to my knowledge.
Dreamchild was later re-released under the name of 'Phoenix' on CD.

Roald Dahl is a literary legend. His repertoire of extraordinary fiction has captured the imaginations of successive generations of children and adults alike. In this one-off documentary for Five we celebrate the world of Roald Dahl through the films that have been inspired by his classic literary works.
This documentary aired on Five on July 24th 2005, as part of a Roald Dahl season featuring some of the film adaptations of his brilliant bookshelf including 'James & The Giant Peach', 'The Witches', 'Danny the Champion of the World' and, of course, 'Willy Wonka'.
The programme featured interviews with Roald Dahl's daughter Tessa, as well as Dahl biographers Jeremy Treglown, Chris Powling and Andrew Donkin. Also included were the stars of some of the previous movies including Pam Ferris (Miss Trunchbull in 'Matilda' ), Bill Paterson ('The Witches') and stars from the first Willy Wonka film Rusty Goffe (Oompa Loompa) and the original 'Veruca Salt' Julie Dawn Cole. Other famous fans were featured including Jeremy Vine, Johnny Ball, Toyah Willcox, Brian Cant, Jenny Ross, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Kirsten O'Brien and Sarah Cawood who read passages from Roald Dahl's work as well as discussing their love of his library.
