Requirement for 9th gup White Belt
3rd Dan Black Belt Rick Brown, of Brown's Karate Academy in Carlinville, IL demonstrates the Front Kick from Forward Stance
Ahp Cha Gi
When performing the Front Kick from a Forward Stance, the key points are:
1. Look straight ahead
2. The hips and shoulders will remain straight through the entire kick
3. Bring the knee up before the kick the technique is meant to go forward, not up into the air
4. Use both hips to thrust straight ahead to provide power
5. The striking area is the ball of the foot, so pull the toes back and extend the foot out
6. Keep the foot of the supporting leg flat on the floor

Requirement for 1st Gup Red Belt

This is the second weapons form learned in Tang Soo Do.
Bong Hyung E Bu
When performing Staff Form #2, key points are:
1. The form is in the pattern of a large capital I
2. There are a total of 34 movements, not including the Choon Bee at the beginning and end of the form
3. Turn the head before moving the body
4. This form is basic in nature
5. Ki Hap sharply on all both of the stabbing movements at the end of the section up the middle
6. Breathe out sharply on each move, breathe in between the movements
7. If performed correctly, you will end up in the same spot as you started from
8. The staff is always gripped with both hands palm down
