Plot: Post New Moon, Pre/Begining Eclipse. Jacob and Leah form a close relationship, becoming best friends and more. When Jacob begins to hang out with Bella again, he starts having a reacquiring dream that something terrible is going to happen to Leah. After a fight, Jacob tries to call and apologize, but Leah ignores him. When a strange warlock casts a spell on Leah, causing her to enter a coma and the possibility of death looms over her, Jacob takes action promising her he will get revenge and destroys the warlock, freeing Leah from his spell.

Chaper 35
Joe sighed as he looked into her eyes and told his story.
" When I was 10, I was playing football and I collapsed. I dont' know why, but I just did, I blacked out. The next thing I knew, I was in the hospital. They said that it was over working my body and they sent me home.
A couple of weeks later, I was just walking donw the stairs at my house when I felt this pain in my chest. It was bearable at first, but it kept getting worse and worse until I coudn't take it anymore. I started to walk down the stairs, when it become so intense my whole body hurt. I couldn't even breath it hurt so bad, Catelyn!" he looked up at her, and she could see his eyes filling with tears. " I screamed and grabbed my chest as my legs gave out and I fell down the stairs, rolling in circles. I don't remember much after i fell, it all went black and I never felt myself hit the ground. I just remembered no longer feeling pain as my vision grew blurrier and eventually left completly. I heard some screaming around me, but couldn't see anything. I remember opening my eyes in the hopsital, seeing Nick and my dad sitting across from me, and then blacking out again." The tears were rolling down his eyes now. Catelyn used her free hand to wipe them away. " I remember opening my eyes again, it couldn't have been more then 5 minutes later, but apparently it was... about 6 and a half weeks later. I remeber seeing a lot of white around me, and tubes...lots and lots of tubes stretching from numerous machines and ending somewhere in my body. i was scared! I was only 10! I started to pull them all out as quickly as i could, bad idea there!" he forced a small smile. " I pulled out a tube, and I felt a tug in in my throat and the air sucked out of me. I found out later I'd pulled out the breathing tube they had put in me. The nurses came at that point and reattached everything as I screamed for my mom and dad. Finally, I saw my mom come rushing in and grab me and pull me into a hug. That's when I saw the calendar- it was November 18th. I know when I looked at a calendar before the stair incident it said September 4th, so I was confused. The Doctor said that after I blacked out, I was rushed to the hospital and had a CT scan done. They said that as soon as they did it, I was rushed into surgery. My mom said that the surgery lasted something like 11 hours or something like that, and that they weren't sure I would make it. I made it out, but about 6 hours after the surgery they said I had fallen into a coma. And that's where I was for the next 6 weeks until I had woken up that morning. They wouldn't tell me what kind of surgery I had, but I overheard my mom talking to the doctor- heart surgery. I asked her later what happened, and she cried as she told me I had a heart defect and needed the surgery to fix it. I had to have a triple bypass because of the defect. I spent another 2 weeks in the hospital before heading home. But, about 2 years later, when I was 12, I was sent to the hospital and back into the same surgery again when I collapsed at church on Christmas Day. Same surgery, and after 5 weeks I woke up from the coma that one had put me in. The doctors did another CT scan when I woke up, and said the defect had grown into a major hole in my heart, and said I needed a heart transplant. I was put on a list and after a week sent home." he sighed when he finished and Catelyn looked up and saw his eyes glistening as a single tear fell down his cheek. She reached up to wipe it away, as she had many times during the story, and he grabbed her hand and held it to his cheek as he closed his eyes and breathed in deeply. She looked back down to his scar and traced it with her free fingers on her other hand."When did you get the transplant?" she asked softly and slowly as he rubbed her hand with his thumb. He opened his his eyes and looked down at her before answering, "I haven't yet. That's why I have to go to the hospital once a month to get a CT scan to make sure the hole doesn't get any bigger and to make sure the medication is working. They are still waiting for a donor to come along." his voice trailed off as he finished, and he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him, laying her head on his chest. She didn't know what to do or what to say, so she just layed there and closed her eyes as he stroked her hair gently. "I'm sorry." she whispered into his chest as she felt a teardrop fall into her hair.

story here, kevins POV:
we sat there in the hospital and my head was empty and my body felt numb. the last words i sait to joe were how bad he was. i really shouldnt have said that, but its vanessas fault anyways.she vroke his heart and then just left, she isnt the good girl i thought she was!!
Suddenly the door opened and a doctor came in.
Dr Brooks:are you here for joseph adam jonas???(nick stood up very fast and walked up to the doc.we both nodded)well.. i have some good news and some bad news, what do you want to hear first??
nick:the good ones
dr B:ok well, Joseph is alive(nicks face lightened up and i still stared at a wall)but now the bad ones..he is in a coma and he is mentally disordered.
nick:*gasps* w-what do y-you mean with th-this??
kevin:(i stood up very fast)DONT you get it nick??!! VANESSA TOTALLY DISTROIED HIM!!he will never be the same!!
dr B:yes sir your right, he will never be the same, but with your help he may will be better in a couple weeks!
nick:so he will be ok?
dr B: we dont know yet, but the chances are good.(with that he left the room, and i walked over to nick and hugged him.He never cared much about me or joe, but he loves us and i know that!)

we stood there hugging for a couple minutes, when a bed was rolled in the room and on it was..joe.I gasped when i saw his eyes rolled backwards and his skin as white as a piece of a paper with blood-red cuts all over his body...
Vanessas POV:
I am now 1 day in Germany, and i feel even worse than in jersey.I barley talked to denise and all the time i sat down my heart felt like it was ripped apart and the air was taken out of my lungs, so i had to gasp for air.Something was terribly wrong with a person that i love, I knew it.
I wanted to make some lunch so i went in the kitchen and started to make spaghetti, even if i wasnt hungry.denise came in and tried to start a conversation but i ignored her, cause i didnt feel like talking at all.
denise:hey sweetie??I've got a letter for you!(she said and i finally turned around, to look at her)
She handed me a letter and it was from a hospital from jersey and i my heart banged against my chest, when i ripped it open.Letter:
Dear Miss Vanessa Ann Hudgens,
we have to tell you that your friend Joseph Adam Jonas commited suicide(my eyes filled with tears).
He is still alive, but we had to contact you, because he has your name carved all over his body.
Maybe it would be better, if you come back to Jersey and visit Joseph,it might help him to get better.---
I didnt have to read more, I fell on the floor and told Denise to buy a ticket back to Jersey.its all my fault.Why did Joe do this? oh my good how much i miss him, i hope he will forgive me, for what i did to him!!
back in jersey with kevin and nick, NO-ONES pov:
One day later Kevin and Nick sat down next to Joes destroyed body.His lips were white,bloodless..He still hasnt woke up.Nick grabbed joes cold hand with his two hands and started praying for him.He never prayed, but now he had to..or he would lose his brother!
uhm-hey God,its Nick..no talk in a long time right? well im sorry for beeing such a bad boy and screwing all these girls, but I need your help! please, make Joe get better.I need him in my life..please just give me a sign..
he stopped praying and then the lights flashed and a bird flew threw the opened window.'thats the sign,Thanks god!' he thought, still holding Joes hand.It was night and the visit times were over but Nick was allowed to stay, and kevin fetched some of joes stuff from their house.
The next day:
Nick was sleeping in a chair next to joes bed.Beep Beep Beep[fyi its joes IV].the door was slowely opened by a girl with wavy brown hair and tired brown eyes.It was vanessa..she walked over to joes bed and looked at him and couldnt hold back the tears,wich suddenly slid down her cheeks.He looked horrible and she couldnt do anything against it.She couldnt help him now!Nicks eyes fluttered open and he twitched when vanessa sat down next to him.
Nick:v-vanessa what are you doing here*his voice cracked*
vanessa:(she shrugged and couldnt take her eyes off of joe) the hospital sent me a letter to come over.
Nick:vanessa??(she didnt look at him but was listening) kevin thinks it is your fault,so i think you should better leave, he can get really angry when it is about family!
vanessa:i dont think he will do anything to my.AND i think its my fault too..so i deserve to get punished..

Major Henry Rathbone momentarily grappled with Booth but was cut by Booth's knife. Booth then leapt to the stage and shouted "Sic semper tyrannis!"
