Horses in the video:
The little red horse with white back feet is Trigger, my first horse..
The HUGE bay Thoroughbred was a rescue that we got from Mississippi, he is now owned by a really nice girl who is running barrels with him.
the Appaloosa is Zeus, a crazy horse that I spent a whole lot of time trying to fix, only for him to freak out one day and break my shoulder
the little red mare with the funny ear (no white except her face), is Kitty, a sweet little mare that is for sale.

Perhaps the ultimate 60's protest song. It was written by P.F.Sloan in 1965. the best-known recording is by Barry McGuire.
Here are the lyrics:
The eastern world, it is exploding
Violence flarin, bullets loadin
Youre old enough to kill, but not for votin
You dont believe in war, but whats that gun youre totin
And even the Jordan River has bodies floatin
But you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
Ah, you dont believe
Were on the eve
of destruction.
Dont you understand what Im tryin to say
Cant you feel the fears Im feelin today?
If the button is pushed, theres no runnin away
Therell be no one to save, with the world in a grave
[Take a look around ya boy, it's bound to scare ya boy]
And you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
Ah, you dont believe
Were on the eve
of destruction.
Yeah, my bloods so mad feels like coagulatin
Im sitting here just contemplatin
I cant twist the truth, it knows no regulation.
Handful of senators dont pass legislation
And marches alone cant bring integration
When human respect is disintegratin
This whole crazy world is just too frustratin
And you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
Ah, you dont believe
Were on the eve
of destruction.
Think of all the hate there is in Red China
Then take a look around to Selma, Alabama
You may leave here for 4 days in space
But when you return, its the same old place
The poundin of the drums, the pride and disgrace
You can bury your dead, but dont leave a trace
Hate your next-door neighbor, but dont forget to say grace
And tell me over and over and over and over again, my friend
You dont believe
Were on the eve
Of destruction
Mm, no no, you dont believe
Were on the eve
of destruction.

Gene Autry and Jimmy Long wrote this song (or updated Red River Valley in all honesty) in the 30's and it went on to become a million seller for Gene. Others to have recorded the song include Jim Reeves, Johnny Cash, The Everly Brothers and Simon and Garfunkel. The only time it actually made the Country chart was in 1980 where it reached the far from lofty heights o f position 69 by Slim Whitman. Marty must have known the song so well that I doubt he needed the sheet music when he recorded one of his idol's classic songs.
