69 snapper is getting painted and getting an engine, and theres a few things that need paint that are out there. Believe it or not, i still have stuff im working on that isnt on tape.
We only have the 4 sheep and 40 chickens which is irritating, but you have to start somewhere. There'll be many more videos like this (like how i got my truck stuck this morning) that i'll post. Feel free to subscribe to my channel

Honing an engine cylender during a rebuild. Its best to practice on junked sleeves like this one before you start on whatever youre working on. Theres not much to it, just keep the drill moving.
I'll put up more of these really basic videos like this one. When i first started doing stuff like this, i would have done anything for simple, straight videos of things like this. Now that i can make them, i will.

HOPEFULLY:
This engine will perform better than the last GCT switchers MN purchased from Brookville, which are now banned from operating outside of Yard Limits (meaning BANNED from GCT).
Metro North's newest motive power adds a splash of color to an already beautiful Autumn day. After being set off by CSXT train Q70123 at around 04:00 on 10/24/2008 three locomotives await final delivery to Metro North Railroad at Croton-Harmon, NY. Seen here in CSX's Croton West Yard, the three engines, all built by Brookville Equipment Corporation, of Brookville, PA. The new units are:
BMEX BL-14-CG #401 (MN 'GCT Yellow')
BMEX BL-20-GH #113 (MN)
BMEX BL-20-GH #130 (CDOT/NH)
The 401 is believed to be the first GenSet ever to be roistered by the MTA or any agency that's apart thereof. Although the unit is decaled for Metro North, Brookville (the builder) claims it was purchased by "MTA Capital Construction" reportedly as a part of the East Side Access project (which may explain it being given to MN in exchange for them having reduced flexibility in GCT as a result of the LIRR coming in...).
The 113 is the latest BL-20-GH in the joint MN/CDOT order, and as of the date this video was taken, the most recent unit to be completed by BMEX.
The 130 is back being delivered for the second time. The first time it was here it experienced a catastrophic failure during acceptance testing and apparently blew its crankshaft. The unit, now experiencing deja-vu will try again to get receive the nod from MN.

This year's show is the Divine Comedy by Robert W. Smith! We had lots of fun at band camp, including a record amount of drill-downs. It was very hot! And we worked our tails off learning both our music, and 65 sets of drill all in one week! It was amazing.
